Screen Size as a rule above 50inch, Plasma is most likely better performing if under 46inch then possibly go for an LCD as an economical solution or LED if you have a few more dolars to spend
High speed action. Plasmas as a rule show high speed action associated with sport or action movies better, but if your into watching romantic comedy’s, lifestyle programs, and the news, then LCD & LED are better as they have a softer image
Viewing Angle, If viewing from front on or in a narrow room then an LCD or LED is best suited, if you have a wide room and the whole family needs to see the screen then a Plasma will offer marginally better pictures from the wider angle

They are also much slimmer at 1.2 inches, lighter and stylish plus are much more energy efficient than its plasma and LCD predecessors expect LED screens are replacing LCD
